In the meantime, here is list of complementary therapies we offer, with a brief explanation of each.
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
CBT is a talking therapy that can help you manage your problems by changing the way you think and behave. It’s most commonly used to treat anxiety and depression, but can be useful for other mental and physical health problems.
This broad category covers a range of practitioners, from career counselors to psychotherapists who treat depression, stress, addiction, and emotional issues. Formats can vary from individual counseling to group therapy. Some therapists may also incorporate bodywork, energy healing, and other alternative modalities as part of their practice.
Coaching/Life Coaching/Executive Coaching/Mind Coach/Brain Training
Life Coaching aims to help and empower you to make, meet and exceed personal and professional goals. This can include excelling in the workplace, becoming happy and fulfilled at home, exploring your potential and achieving ambitions. Using techniques such as NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programming) and proven psychological principles, a coach provides the tools and guidance to face difficult situations and push past emotional barriers. Coaching empowers you to make the changes you need to make, without judgement or opinions. Your coach will not tell you what to do, but will help you to question your own thinking and take control of your own mind and life.
Emotional Freedom Technique / EMDR
EFT is an energy healing technique that works with acupuncture points, and EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing) uses rapid eye movement. Both therapies desensitise emotional issues and blocks that are ‘stuck’ in the unconscious and causing us pain, phobias, anxiety, fear or emotional reactions we have no conscious control over.
A means of bypassing the conscious mind and accessing the subconscious, where suppressed memories, repressed emotions, and forgotten events may remain recorded. Hypnosis may facilitate behavioral, emotional, or attitudinal change such as weight loss, or smoking cessation. It is also used to treat phobias, stress, and as an adjunct in the treatment of illness. Hypnotherapy is also very effective for stress, anxiety, confidence and many other issues.
There are many forms of meditation. All help you to train your brain and take control of your thinking (which is the primary cause of emotional suffering!) Meditation exercises are helpful for stress, anxiety, depression and life balance.
Mindfulness has become a catchword, but is the most ancient of all healing disciplines. Mindfulness is more than living in the present, or being aware of your thoughts. Mindfulness practice is a way of training your brain and being in control of your thoughts and behaviour – as above!
More than simply telling you what nutrition is or isn’t, a good Nutritional Therapist will advise you on what is right for your body type and metabolism. You are what you eat is not merely a flippant saying, it is utterly true – what you eat affects you more than you think! Food affects MOOD. Food can make you irritable, anxious or depressed as it affects your chemical balance. A Nutritionist will tell you what to eat, but also what NOT to eat for your personal optimal health. Not everybody is the same.

Physiotherapy helps to restore movement and function when someone is affected by injury, illness or disability. It can also help to reduce your risk of injury or illness in the future. It takes a holistic approach that involves the patient directly in their own care.
Therapeutic massage is a general term that describes any type of professional massage that helps relieve pain, reduce stress, and works on a specific problem – such as a frozen shoulder, neck pain or lower back pain.
People tend to assume that therapeutic massage just means deep tissue massage and that they will get a very strong massage. But this is not always the case. Deep tissue massage is great at breaking down scar tissue and getting your blood circulating, but it may not be what you need for a particular injury/issue. A good therapist will apply the techniques and adjust the amount of pressure specifically effective to relieve the issue you have.
