Why see a Nutritional Therapist?

Nutritional therapy works for everyone; young or old. Whether you have a specific health concern that you want to address, or simply want to check that you are on the right track to healthy eating, a nutritional therapist can help in your goal towards identifying foods and lifestyle choices that can help you to look and feel your best.

What Kathryn Watson Nutrition can offer you:

As a qualified coach, I support my clients to adopt a healthy lifestyle that works for them; providing the tools to feel confident to do this independently, on a long term basis.

I practice using the principles of Functional Medicine (IFM.org), which aims to look for the root cause of disease in an individual, and how and why this has happened. Symptoms are not looked at individually, as an isolated bodily system; the whole person is looked at. For example, factors such as lifestyle, stress, sleep, genes and environment are all considered in a consultation, as well as food.

I have particular interests in the area of women’s health, and children. I am passionate about helping families to create easy, quick, balanced meals that can be enjoyed by the whole family.

Not only will my experience ensure your nutritional recommendation are based on proven and current scientific research, but I am also able to support you closely through the process of adopting healthy changes into your lifestyle.

Some satisfied clients:

“Kathryn is warm and friendly and her advice to help with weight loss was easy to follow and realistic. She didn’t ask me to cut out food groups or deprive myself, but developed a plan that worked specifically for me and helped me understand how certain adjustments to my diet and lifestyle really could make a big difference to my overall health. I lost weight easily and what surprised me was my mood really lifted too. Thank you.”
Charlotte (Recruitment consultant, Fulham)

“Kathryn gave me some great practical advice on improving my health after a long period of not feeling well. Just by adopting a few of the changes she advised, I had much more energy and felt better than I had in years. Kathryn is very knowledgeable and manages to explain complex processes in the body really clearly, so you actually understand why what you eat is having such an effect on your whole body”
Aaron (Landscaper, Woking)

“Kathryn is very approachable and listens intently to my medical symptoms. She is incredibly thorough in finding effective and realistic nutritional solutions for me”
Camilla, (TV Producer, London)

“I first approached Kathryn when I noticed that my young children were always so tired. Kathryn gave me some easy tips on how to change their eating habits and recommended certain vitamins, all of which made a huge difference. She even recommened some supplements to help my daughter with a reoccuring virus and it’s massively helped.I also attended a workshop Kathryn ran on sugar, which was simple to follow, informative and extremely interesting. I now look at the packets of all the food my family are eating and have been able to make easy swaps where necessary. Kathryn is so knowledgable and makes it all so simple – my family and I have never felt better.”
Angharad (Talent Agent, Chobham)

“I had a wonderful evening attending one of Kathryn’s superb sugar workshops. She has a very engaging, light delivery style with lots of participation from the attendees. Changes feel accessible and you leave full of motivation to improve your whole families nutrition. I particularly enjoyed the yummy food samples!”
Steph (Reflexologist, Ascot)

“I attended an amazing sugar workshop for mums looking to help make their families healthier. Kathryn really explained to us the reasons why sugar is so bad for us and our children (without baffling us) and gave us realistic guidance and tips that we could use in everyday life, little things to alter rather than expecting a whole lifestyle change. A lovely, non intimidating environment where Kathryn is open and real, making you feel positive and enthusiastic (along with free goodies to try!). Definitely recommend.”
