I have extensive experience working as an Executive and Life Coach, and Counsellor/Psychotherapist. I support individuals, groups and organisations, with the process of becoming more self aware in order to challenge, and change, what is unhelpful, and to develop more effective practises.
Working in an integrative way, using different psychotherapy and leadership models, allows me to tailor my approach to the specific needs of my clients. As a Counsellor/Psychotherapist, I have extensive experience in supporting clients with a vast range of life issues, however, my expertise is in relationship issues, anxiety/panic attacks, depression, anger management, bereavement, low self-esteem, loss, bullying and career management.
I also specialise in working with young people, aged 11 - 25 years, and am passionate about enabling people to manage their well-being and resilience.
For many years I have worked in the NHS, in agencies, and in private practice, including in a counselling agency for young people, and volunteered in a care home for the elderly. My role in Executive Development, for over 25 years, has been developing leaders and teams both as a coach and a facilitator. I have vast experience in several industry sectors. My business knowledge was gained during senior roles at Bosch, BMW and Safeway, whilst my role as a Visiting Tutor, at Cranfield University School of Management, ensures I keep abreast of current thinking in leadership development and business trends.
My work is also enhanced as an accredited trainer with the charity Bounce Forward, working on resiliency skills for young people.
My association with many global organisations, such as Pepsico and Toyota, has given me the opportunity to work with multi-cultural groups, and gender diverse global teams. I am also a member of the coaching team for the award winning EY and Linklaters' Women's Leadership Programmes, and am currently supporting a number of senior women in the IT sector.
Whilst it may feel difficult to ask for help, I have found that providing a safe, confidential environment, with a relaxed, non-judgemental, encouraging style, allows clients to feel that they can be open and to work through what has brought them to therapy.
This may be a specific issue, a present difficult circumstance, or something that has been affecting them for a very long time.Working in an integrative way, using different psychotherapy and leadership models, allows me to tailor my approach to the specific needs of my clients.
This allows the client to gain a deeper understanding of their situation and increased self-awareness, which can lead to meaningful change.
