Who am I?

I am a qualified integrative counsellor and registered member of the BACP (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy).
I had a 20 year career in the police where I specialised in child protection and supporting victims of sexual abuse.  I decided to build on my experience of supporting survivors of child abuse and historic or recent sexual abuse, by training to be a counsellor.
I have worked with individuals facing stress, burnout, anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties and bereavement, among other issues.

What do I do?

I am passionate about helping people who are struggling and who don't know who to turn to. I will listen to you with empathy in a non-judgmental way, helping you to understand your issues better and help you explore how you want to move forward. I draw on a range of therapies, including person-centred and psychodynamic approaches, depending on what feels most helpful for you.
My aim is to support you as you talk through whatever situation you may be facing. We can then look at different ways of addressing your struggles and help you to tackle them in a way that works best for you.

How I can help you

I offer face to face therapy in a counselling room, where you can come and talk to me about your struggles, away from whatever issues you are dealing with.  Having had counselling myself, I know the benefit of having someone come alongside you – to listen without judgement and offer you another perspective on whatever is affecting you.  It can make a huge difference when life feels overwhelming and complicated and you don’t know where to turn.

Issues I can help you with:
  • Anxiety
  • Depression
  • Abuse
  • Sexual Abuse
  • Burnout & Stress
  • Grief
  • Low self-esteem
  • Self-image
  • Learning Disabilities
  • Women's Issues
  • Work place issues

Sessions Guildford & Bagshot

My fees are £50 per 50 minute session
I offer concessionary rates to students, those on a low income and to key workers.
I offer an initial free telephone consultation giving you the opportunity to discuss what brings you to counselling and what you hope to achieve from therapy. It gives us both a chance to get a sense of one another, for me to explain how I work, and for us to decide if I am the best therapist for you. We can then agree the best way forward for you.
